Pai trek: day 2

I woke up unable to put any weight on my left leg. I managed to walk it off with the help of a knee support and painkillers though. Luckily the hiking was pretty relaxed and the weather was a bit cooler.

We arrived back in civilisation at Tham Lod cave, seeing the first Westerners since leaving Pai. We took a raft in to the cave and a guide showed us around the huge stalagmites and stalactites.

After a few fresh coconuts and bananas, we got back in a van and returned to Pai.

During the two days we encountered lots of wildlife including massive centipedes, millipedes, snakes, large spiders, termites and leeches. We walked through dense vegetation on a route rarely visited, so I was covered in scratches, cuts and bites. It was more than worth it though!
