Coyote!

Spotted this guy at the Sun Luis unit of the Sun Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex this morning. We got in some decent birding before the storm set in (lots of songbirds and a possible Great Horned Owl) and then had tremendous luck in the rain at Merced NWR, just down the road.

The geese are fleeing for the north before I've had time to see them all...soon the waterfowl will go too. I bum out when the winter birds leave, but then again, the spring migrants will be returning soon. Very happy about that.
