If you go down to the woods today...

This morning was traumatic, my son had his asthma review and flu jab...only I didn't tell him about the latter as he has a fear of doctors and nurses as he thinks they all come with a needle! Children have a nasal spray for their dose of the flu jab, and he did all he could to fight against it! Feel like a horrible mother, but also know it's better than visiting A&E in the winter with him, as we have done previously with his breathing. Still, a few marshmallows and five minutes later the tears had stopped and we were on our way to the Mountain View Ranch for a play.

We went for a walk, and saw the Halloween trail through the woods. It got me thinking....the build up to Halloween has become like Christmas. And the costumes...well they become scarier each year. Yet the kids don't seem scared by it? Maybe it's because they see it through a child's eyes. The next couple of days we will be getting our Halloween costumes ready for a party, and carving our pumpkins....things which I never seemed to do as a child.
