Alms Houses
This little row of about 8 terraced mini-houses was built in 1833 (if my Latin numbers are worked out correctly). They seem rather out-of-place on a main road sandwiched between an area of council houses and a row of fairly run-down shops.
However, they are rather beautiful, if small.
I'm not sure how you get to live there these days but I hope the people who live there are grateful to William and Jane Turner who paid for the houses all those years ago.
