Cloud Cover over Lake Michigan
We were up at 4:00 a.m. to take Jennie back to O'Hare Airport in Chicago, as her plane was scheduled to leave at 7:00. We got lost AGAIN on the way home, as the road signage is so pathetic & it was so dark! We finally got straightened out only to get a text from Jennie that her plane was delayed for 2 hrs. Broke my heart to drop her off as she was crying & I was close to starting to cry myself--always so hard when we part!!
Tom & I stopped for breakfast on the way home, & made a few stops along the way for some pictures. I had a hard time deciding today, as I had several shots I really liked, all very different from one another--but what can I say--I love my Lake, & it was just so beautiful this morning with the sun trying to break through all the heavy clouds--off in the distance just above the horizon you can see it's raining. The weak sun reflecting on the water makes the lake look as if it's coated in a layer of ice--the water was so unbelievably still this morning! Got a text that Jen made it home safely, the suns's out in full force, it's 65 degrees & no work today--life is good! :)
