Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Fine!

JR popped off to work. Then stomped back in - smoke coming out of her ears - brandishing a Parking Permit Fine!! Turns out we hadn't changed address at the time, because the parking zone was the same. But it wasn't the £100 initially feared - a mere £30. Phew!

Decided not to go to the Zoo today in favour of hanging out with Archie in the front yard. In the mizzle. It was supposed to clear up by midday, but it was 2pm by the time the sun came out and we could go for a run in Soggy Meadows.

Then I went down town to the Council Offices to get a new Parking Permit. The sunlight was just lovely. I haven't really mooched around town looking for shots for ages. I had thought I'd get one of the rather splendid mural that's been covering the National Library for about six months. They've taken it down!!

So this is George Heriot's School from Victoria Terrace. Much better than a bedraggled Archie. I must say - a drookit, slightly whiffy, hyperactive dog in the house on a wet day is not ideal...
