Waiting……..

My routine in the morning is 3 'sleeps' of my clock radio, then listen to the 7 o'clock news on Radio 2, then up… so I was semi 'with it' (nothing new there) when my phone rang mid news…. Joe….. oh, oh, oh - he never rings this early…. something's happening!! Mum - I think we may be in labour….. though I'm not sure……. oh, oh oh - flung the duvet off - must be an adrenaline thing…. and it transpired that yes we are on the verge of their first child and my first grandchild entering the world.

They are safely at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea hospital in London and all is well…. I'm such a long way away and I'm so emotional!!!
