Bartender - Southwark, London
Camera Thirteen
"Eventually, and for no particular reason, we walked over Southwark bridge. A bit more walking, a bit more exploring and we found ourselves in front of a random pub called The Goldsmith. "
Want to grab a drink?"
"Yeah, this place looks good."
So we got a couple of pints and I decided the bartender had a nice face and there was a bit of natural light coming through a window so I asked him if he'd be my stranger. I took his photo and only then found out that I went all-the-way down to London to photograph a stranger from...ha, Edinburgh. He's lived in London for 17 years, but still. Too funny.
And then the world got even smaller. Chris was outside on the phone with his mate Alan who he was staying with while we were there. Turns out Alan's best friend owns The Goldsmith and that Chris would be there the following night with Alan and his immediate and extended family to celebrate a birthday. Of all the pubs in London, this is the one we wandered into."
Really very strange."
