Black & Green: Weaving Harakeke
I've stumbled upon a theme for the week, so it would seem; two colours, themed around native foliage.
Following on from yesterday's kowhai, here's the leaves of just some of the harakeke bushes that mark our boundary.
Flax is an amazing plant; so hardy, so fast growing, and a food source for bees and birds alike. It's no surprise that it's been prized for centuries by both Maori and Pakeha.
