Sunny Monday

It really doesn't feel like October - lovely temperature and sunshine. It's perfect for Heath's last day in the city, but he didn't factor in the half-term madness. Needless to say, the museums were out of bounds.

On the plus side, the roads are clear of school traffic. Hooray!

My office enjoyed an extended lunch to say farewell to a couple of colleagues who are moving teams. We don't normally get the chance to chat together for so long. It was a wonderful treat - thanks, boss.

I met Heath at Euston to wish him a safe journey on the sleeper and had my first experience of the Virgin 1st class lounge. There's free tea - that's all I need.
