Smelling the roses

It was a very busy morning at work and I had several errands to run in the afternoon, which left me little time to look for an entry today. On my way from one errand to another, I briefly stopped my bicycle at a bed of roses to photograph a few of the flowers and unexpectedly found this little hoverfly sitting on one of them.
