Peacock flounder
Sunday - day off. These are great "oddly shaped bottom dwellers" as described in the fish ID book. The eyes migrate around to the top of the body surface - and the fish settles on the bottom to camouflage and find prey. This photo was taken while skin diving - around 7m. Much easier to get closer to the fish without bubbles!
We swam right out into the blue to find the local turtle (and succeeded) who lives on the reef. We finished the day with a good meal at the beach bar discussing the merits of turtle hatching programmes.
