Amaranth

These bright seed heads caught my eye while driving by today. I stopped to take pictures and the owner of the garden told me what they were. He insisted that I break off a head and take it for seeds in the spring :) I think most of the flowers will be gone by morning. The forecast for tonight is 27F (about -2C). Brrr
