Ingredient
I was preparing to make a dye bath for a piece of remnant white fine cotton I purchased in a bundle at the church jumble sale. Before I could immerse the fabric I remembered I was to wash and boil it with an ingredient to strip it of its stiff manufacturer's finish. I chose only boiling and vinegar and sloshed an amount of the vinegar into the pot. Boil, boil, boil. I just couldn't wait to rinse and dry and iron the cotton and into the dye bath of au natural boiled rose petals (lavendar sprigs added as an afterthought) it went. Puddle, puddle.
I think I've stained a beautiful piece of (retro) white fine cotton mildly pink. I will rinse and iron it tomorrow to see the final effect.
