Magical Mystery Tour

A day tripper in the form of Grandmama arrived in Liverpool and suddenly three blippers and two hangers on were enjoying a cooked breakfast - the best way to start a Sunday.

Midday approached and it was time to meet Danny and his black cab for our Beatles tour of Liverpool, taking in Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, their childhood homes, oh, and another blipper along the way - Echo! All good fun, with Danny full of stories and tales. Helped considerably illustrating what I'd read about recently in Hunter Davies excellent biography of the band. Oh, and it was nice to return to where I was born, although there was no plaque - just one for some bloke called John Lennon...

Three hours later we were done, said our goodbyes to GM, did the excellent Beatles Story at the Albert Dock, and then finished the day with Thai food in Liverpool One and cocktails in the Hard Days Night hotel. Fab (four).
