Kelpie

Today we headed over to Fa;kirk to see the Kelpies at Helix Park. There are two Kelpies standing either side of the canal. They were designed by Andy Scott and they stand 30 metres tall. They are constructed of overlapping plates and they represent the horses who used to pull the barges along the canal. Kelpies are mythological changling beasts who are said to have the strength of 100 horses.
