Before the Rain Started Again
16.3C dull and rainy. Some less rainy spells. Wind to 28mph, with gusts to 44mph in the early morning and to 30 mph in the afternoon.
The BBC web forecast indicated a dry spell through the middle of the day.
The rain seemed to be almost off after lunch so Maeve the Deerhound and I set off for a walk. We got down to the cycle path by the shore road and the rain came on. I decided to turn back at the gate through the field that would have taken us to the level crossing and the beach.
When we got back to the road we take to go down to the shore the rain was off again, so we walked along to the road bridge over the railway and went down to the beach at Westhaven. I managed to get a couple of pictures of Silver Cat floating at its mooring before the rain started again. We walked along the sand to the fishermen's huts and I took a few more pictures there of floats and creels but the rain was getting heavier.
By the time we got home Maeve was pretty much soaked. Oops. Thats the first time I have had to towel her dry for a long time. She wasn't happy about being wet but was enthusiastic about the towelling, especially the towelling of her head :-)
