'Easy does it'

Build: Day 1

So today is the day when we start to self build our new house.

It's taken over two years of designing, planning and gaining building warrants to reach this point. Hopefully things now start to happen at a pace.

This morning the diggers moved in to start what should be a 6 month build project. This is Calum, the groundworks guy, manoeuvring his JCB gently over the kerb to enter the site for the house. Calum is going to dig & lay the foundations and install the drains in the next week or two.
