Passenger
Sunday, my friend and I were up and at them heading to the Airport. Things went surprisingly easy for us, and we had plenty of time at the airport before our plane was to leave. Somehow we got some sort of Pre-check status, and didn't have to take off our shoes or coats to go through security. That was a lovely surprise.
We grabbed some breakfast at the airport, and had to smile at this adorable little doggy that was being sooooo good sitting in it's suitcase. I didn't know dogs could travel in the cabin of the airplane, but it appears they can. This dog wasn't on our plane though. I'm sort of glad for that. It could have been awful to have it whining or barking the whole way to Hawaii.
Our plane ride was LONG, but uneventful. We landed in Maui, and boy was it humid. The Hurricane had missed the islands, but it had been storming right before we got there.
We stopped by the local Costco, to get some food, and then headed to our cottage in the jungle. It was way out in the middle of no where, and perfect in every way. We had a quiet evening in our cottage adjusting to the time difference. We gained 3 hours, but were tired well before bedtime.
Hooray for our first night on the island.
