Well, the calendar says it's spring, but the barometer and and the gloom look like winter here at Lake Tarawera, however whilst checking out Tarawera Times vege patch I spotted a fledgling thrush peeking at me between the spinach leaves and these pretty chives flowering, so the days ahead still hold promise of warmth.
