With Her Grandmother's Blessings

Jeane Elise is my sister, Mary's, first granddaughter...and she is getting married to the father of her three year old daughter, Remy. Today I went to her wedding shower.

Taking photographs can soften the affect of such social occasions, so I took many. There were many beautiful ones of the bride to be and of her little daughter, but this one simply moved me the most. So here it is: my elder sister lovely in her aging...as animated as her granddaughter in her youthful joy. For me, they seem to reflect one another, but also they seem to be passing one another going in different directions. I am probably saying too much about a picture that needs no explaining...only sharing.
