Mummy on a Mission

One door closes...

...and another opens.

Before I start. Apologies for the image. It's actually a picture of the picture I'm going to use. I'm en route to Scotland so can't download the RAW file. Stupidly when I took the photograph I forgot to change settings on the camera.

Anyways, I took the final meter readings today, closed the door and put keys through the letter box. :( as of tomorrow it will be someone else's home and I'm happy for them as it's a lovely street to live, but we've moved on. I still shed a little tear.

There was a million things to do today. Tidy house, pack bags for trip back oop north, meter readings and pick up Munckin 1 from Scout camp. While getting ready this morning I decided to swap the rings I wear on my right hand. I wanted to wear the gold one my late father gave me for my 21st.....it wasn't there. It wasn't where the other items were that Mr C shoved in a shoe box. I searched high and low. Upset was an understatement as it's irreplaceable. Fast forward to this afternoon, just after I wrote down the meter readings I thought I'll just check the built in jewellery box I had in our old wardrobes....it was there! What if....

Munchkin 1 had a great time but he was tired and sore. They did oodles if activities including quad biking. Unfortunately he thinks this can go on his no blooming chance listSanta list.

We hoped to see Mr C on the news tonight as the Union Jack was lowered at Camp Bastion but sadly no. He was probably lurking in the background.

Part 2 of my journey tomorrow morning. Leaving Munckin 1 here in Yorkshire with his grandparents for a few days while Little Miss E and I continue to my sisters in Scotland. The weather looks bleak...

Night all
