Calmer
Today was a so much calmer compared to yesterday, thank goodness. We jumped started the car, and took it for a long drive home via the country lanes, to make sure it didn't conk out in traffic. It was a lovely drive and made us realise that we really should get out to the east side of the island more often.
After lunch we drove down to Greve De L'ecq and walked on the cliff path towards Plemont. The view was so clear today we were able to see all the other islands including Alderney. We also had a lovely view of the sandy beaches in France. You can just about see them in the photo.
I didn't walk all the way to Plemont with Rik and Joseph, but stopped at the top of some steeps steps sitting in the late afternoon sun reading and waiting for their return. It was a beautiful calm afternoon and the beach looked lovely. I would say inviting but from past experience this is one of the coldest bays I have ever swum in. My feet felt like ice blocks after only minutes in the sea at height of summer!!!
