Disappointed

A drive in to the Lammermuir Hills this afternoon to admire the spectacular autumn foliage. There probably won't be much of it left after today, as the wind has been FIERCE, much worse than it was on Tuesday, but no weather warnings from the Met. Office this time!

We went for a couple of short walks. These ladies all gathered together as we approached their field, and looked most disappointed when we went away again! Maybe they were hoping for food?

Back home to cook boeuf bourguignon, thanks to some cheap beef and a (quite expensive) bottle of red wine that was revolting and undrinkable - but obviously just right for making a very rich, delicious gravy. Yum!
