40 Days and 40 Nights
It has been really wet today. I mean sustained heavy rain that has caused rivers to swell to dangerous levels and wreaked travel disruption all over the Highlands.
Caley still needed his walk though and we retraced our Leanachan tracks from yesterday. Part of the loop takes you down to the “The Cour”. The normally benign burn was high last night but this afternoon the water surged over the bases of river bank trees and many were being dragged over to such an angle that their upper branches were trailing in the foamy swell. I’m sure some will get washed away under such pressure.
In an ironic way I thought I would put a link to this famous Irving Berlin song about a care free summer day. Blue Skies
