I'm Still Standing

The demolition contractors have over the past few weeks been removing all the internal structure of what was once The Birmingham Mint in the Jewellery quarters of Birmingham. It is going to be developed in to another batch of Chic apartments. This is the chimney stack left in the centre, they have now cleared the area all around it, I do not know if they are going to keep it as a feature or its due to be not gracing the Brum skyline for much longer.

Everyday I pass it on my way to work, and this morning the car stopped at the traffic lights and I quickly blipped it out the window, it might not be there Monday morning.

I have developed a soft spot for it, and shall feel quite sorry if it goes.
