The White House

The White House or 'het witte huis' in Dutch is a National Heritage Site in central Rotterdam.

Its a 43m - 141ft - Art Nouveau style 10 story building constructed in 1898. It also was the tallest in Europe at the time it was built!

It was also one of the few buildings that survived the bombing Rotterdam flat by the Nazis in the second world war.

Glad we still have a few pre war landmarks in this ultra modern post war arcitectured city.
