.... SUPPORT GROUP IN ACTION....

... a Back Blip from my full on day yesterday assisting the Prostate Support Group.

First off it was out to Windsor for an 8am start to assist in the scrutineering for the 2014 Hawkesbury Canoe Classic. this year is the 38th Classic and there were 290 odd canoes paddling off at 4-30pm and overnight covering the 111 kilometres from Windsor to Brooklyn. Oooch!!
The whole event is a massive logistic in organisation as you can appreciate.

Partway through, I left the team and headed down to Blacktown where we were supporting the Walk for Life activity held by the Cancer Council and Blacktown Council there. Although it was a warm 34 degC day there were many participants having a great family walk in support of the fundraising.

Felt the best way to show the day was a collage. The two girls top left are Sally the organiser of this event and Caroline who organises the Hawkesbury Walk for Life another one we supported in May this year.

Then a hasty retreat home to pick up Wendy, and off to the airport to pick up Alice and Mum & Dad on return from their holiday this week in Surfers Paradise. Hence my absence yesterday I was... well and truly you know what by time feet went up last night!!
