Happy birthday to me....

It's 00.02 on 26th October 2014, my 42nd birthday. I am sitting in bed with my 4 week old daughter asleep on me (post feed), my 2 year old daughter asleep in her "big girl's room" and my husband asleep in our spare room (one of us has to remain sprightly for the non stop toddler). I am reflecting on my life as I turn 42. The utter chaos, the mind numbing fatigue, the arguments of the sleep deprived the occasional yearning for your past carefree life and then I look at the warm little body breathing noisily and heavily on my chest and realise that it is all worth it, if only you could get some rest!!
