The Ochils, The Wallace Monument and Robert the Bruce - the latter 700 years on from the Battle of Bannockburn, fought on the flood plain of the Forth below Stirling Castle.

It was lovely to make the best of the last day of British summer time to escape the computer screens and spend the afternoon exploring Stirling Castle. ( A brilliant destination!)

At 0100 tomorrow the clocks go back an hour to GMT. The old adage Spring Forward and Fall Back is the fool proof way to never get caught out by this anachronistic activity -
