Red Oaks

Five days ago, this lovely stand of red oaks was an even lovelier stand of red oaks and aspens - with the brilliant yellow aspens providing a bright foil to the dark crimson of the oaks. But wouldn't you know, my camera battery died precisely as I was about to take the shot, and now the aspens are done. It's still a pretty scene though.

Mr L. and I cycled the same circuit as I did alone last Thursday along the Gandy Dancer and the back roads south of the village. It's about 9 miles. Not a long ride by any means, but a little bit of aerobic exercise before dinner.
