Horses at Work

It is not often I get a chance to watch heavy horses at work so today I visited the Scottish Ploughing Championships and saw several teams of horses busy ploughing.

Not far away were the huge modern tractors pulling multiple furrow ploughs carving up the field in a way the horses never could. An additional bonus was the section of vintage tractors and also 2 huge steam engines with a wire cable between pulling a large plough from an era long ago.
