Parkin

After getting our flu jab and sniffs this am C and I set to doing some baking, I decided we should make some Parkin - a traditional northern cake that is eaten around bonfire night.

Being from near Manchester originally this really reminds me of my childhood in Nov: Parkin, black peas, sparklers and fireworks in the back garden :-)

It turned out really well (I think) well it smells good but we won't be sampling it until tomorrow.
