Favourite Comedian

After trying and failing to get Billy Connolly tickets for the show in Perth due to the website crashing, managed to get through on the Ticketmaster site for the show at the Armadillo in Glasgow.

I felt a lump in my throat when he shuffled on, and after a long applause, went right into a talk about his Parkinson's illness. His wit is still razor sharp, swearing in true Billy style in non PC fashion with fatties and Aberdonians getting a good going over and two hours passed by without us noticing. Don't think we will see him on tour again. Sad.

Wee tip to anyone trying avoiding the horrendous exit from the multi storey (and saving seven quid) at the SSE Hydro and parking on the streets just up from the walkway. Don't ! There are new parking restrictions on many of the adjoining streets and in the four concerts we have been to this year, every car has a parking ticket on it. Not nice to get after having an enjoyable evening out. The parking wardens must get overtime to nab these unsuspecting out of town motorists.

Oh and pre concert best fish and chips in the area in a nice cosy cafe called
Old Salty's
