'Europe's largest cable car.......'
The temperature said 22 degrees when we arrived at our hotel last night! Very nice we thought!
We enjoyed a day in Koblenz and managed to steer clear of shops and souvenirs...for now anyway. What an amazing view from the cable car taking us up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, looking down at Deutsches Eck where the rivers Rhine and Moselle converge. (A confluence I am told.)
The fortress was very impressive and evocative and is described in the literature as 'a bombproof village' but is now 'an exceptional cultural ensemble and event venue' - which I think is much nicer.
