Findlater Doocot

The 'squabs' from this 16th century doocot supplied the nearby Findlater Castle. Suppose pigeon meat made a change from fish and was easier to catch!
It was a lovely sunny day and a walk along the Aberdeenshire cliffs, past the ruined castle to Sunnyside beach was very pleasant. The beach lived up to its name!
To the right, on the horizon, the turbines in the Moray Firth at the Beatrice Field off Caithness are clearly seen.
