Heart of Edinburgh

The boy and I scaled Salisbury Crags today. We'd intended going up Arthur's Seat too, but a lack of breakfast on his part meant he was already hungry by the time we got to the turn off to Hunter's Bog so we headed back. He was doing a project where he had to create a video for a trailer for a book (he's chosen The Hobbit).

I was enjoying the views towards Calton Hill and over Edinburgh. From this angle you can see Nether Craigwell - sandstone buildings bottom right of picture, with the Burns Monument at the top of our garden; the old Royal High School in the centre; and the monuments of Calton Hill. Made a little trailer for the cottage too.
