the flying shoe box

Since 1993 more than 100 million shoe boxes have been distributed to children in 130 countries.
Shoeboxes from Australia and New Zealand are sent to South-east Asia and the South Pacific and I first found out about them last year but too late to be a part of the project.
This year the Uni club has a stack of empty boxes ready for filling and returning by the end of October.
Then for $9.00 to cover shipping, this box is one of a planned 340, 000 others given to children in this region.

So, you chose a lad or a lass and age group and the gifts are selected for that particular group.
Ideas are
something to wear
something to love
some things for school
something to play with
and something like soap and wash cloth, hair clips, comb etc.

Guided by junior, now aged 8, I've packed a box for a lad in the age group 5-9 years.
A great idea or what!
