Industrial Archaeology

This is an old railway swing bridge and bascule bridge in Port Dundas - the railway is long gone, but these are listed buildings apparently.

In amongst the faceless industrial units there's a handful of old buildings. Fascinating area, which also has some personal history for me: my father was brought up in the Townhead area, and has great memories of adventures along the canal paths as a kid. I'll show him the picture to see if he can remember seeing trains crossing this!
