Speculative boxfish

I caught this boxfish giving me the eye while freediving at the end of isles bay in Montserrat. The double shadow from the flash and the sunlight is quite interesting, and the boxfish was kind enough to let me get in close. We also found an octopus and a corkscrew anemone with a collection of sparkling blue attendant shrimp.

We also finished our first official survey today at the permanent transect in Lime Kiln Bay - all data collated and uploaded to Reef Check. Everyone was very content to put the training to work - and the diving conditions were stunning. I also logged a Flamingo Tongue!
