Deux Chevaux by Citroën
An oldie like this specimen is rarely spotted in the wild, specially on a day that there's a lot of rain predicted, but it looks like the owner doesn't really bother too much about rust.
This is a 2 horsepower Citroen - 'Deux Chevaux' in French - and by the look of the corrugated iron hood it's pre 1955.
By the way… Did you know Citroen is a Dutch name?
André Citroën's grandfather Roelof origins from Holland where he sold fruit and vegetables. When people had to choose a surname by law in 1811 he chose the name 'Lemonman' referring to his profession.
Later this was changed into 'Citroen' which is Dutch for 'Lemon'
But it's pronounced Citroën in French ;-)
Have a nice day
