In between the showers

The horse and his master and the chariot waiting for folks to take a ride, like they did all thro' the Summer's season.

Today was a day of heavy rain in Chania (and first snow on the mountains of Greece mainland / in the north ~ the news showed + heavy water troubles on the mainland)

It looks all so quiet in this picture, but I had to wait a while for the oncoming and oncoming last tourists here to walk by till the scene was as void as it is here.

My day here was another one filled with reunions with friends of old times:) One of them celebrated her 65th birthday and we sang her Happy Birthday in 5 different languages, such fun and she treated us on a super feast around her table with breakfast and then a coffee with torte (cake) ~ she's of german origin ~ and a champagne to enjoy our lunch hour before we departed. we shared talks of wisdom and laughter ~ ofcourse!
