A surprise present?

Not really, but when I was a boy I played with lead soldiers and model Howitzers so when I saw this in a local car park I couldn't believe the family had clubbed together to buy this for my birthday yesterday.
No of course not but it did bring back boyhood memories of lying on a carpet playing soldiers. Then it was a game and I didn't know the reality of War.
This 'Light Gun 105' is back from Afghanistan. Looking at it and talking to the Artillery men I could almost smell the powder, deliverer of death, hear the screaming shells and the cries the wounded and dying.
Human as I am such images were challenged by a boy like wonder at such power and although I know it is wrong I was lying on the carpet again !
