American friends

The Virginia Creeper has excelled itself this year and has managed to get as far as this Garrya Elliptica, some 30 foot away. Both these plants are supposed to originate from USA, the lovely Garrya with its cute catkins comes from California and the Virginia Creeper....where else but Virginia!
