Seaside Towns in Winter

I love seaside towns any time of the year.

When I was a child, we went on holidays to Skerries - a lovely coastal town north of Dublin.  To me it was just heaven.  It was only 30 miles from where we lived - but it had a great beach, little huckstry shops, the amusements, bingo, an ice-cream parlour, the smell of chips in the evening, and a cinema.   What more does a 9 year old need on holiday.

We used to go down to the harbour in the evening and the fishermen would sell you fresh fish (and when they were in a good mood they would fling a few mackerel at you for free).

So that's why I love seaside towns  - it brings me back there
