St Mary's Church, Twyford
There have been several churches on this site at Twyford near Winchester - Saxon, Norman and the latest one built in 1878. But tradition insists that all were built on the site of an ancient Druidic Temple. Twelve druidic stones were found when the old church was pulled down. They formed part of the Norman Tower and are still there today. How exciting is that.
There are some lovely arts and crafts features in the church, including these windows.
Session 11 today. Another tick in the box.
