Fallow Deer

Pal Helen and I had an enjoyable walk around St Ives this morning and a good catch up on each other's news and the ways of the world. Heading through Ravenroyd we spotted three fallow deer in the field next to the lane, one jumped the wall immediately but these other two were less confident and took longer to go for it. When we looked up the hill into the wood we spotted two more deer waiting for them. It made me think about David Attenborough's new documentary screened last night and those two day old barnacle geese leaping 400ft down a cliff face after their parents in order to feed - amazing photographic capture and emotional stuff. Attenborough's films are always fantastic viewing.

Did nobody spot my tribute to Tony Hancock on my Wednesday blip?!
