Day 1 - Filey 2014
Our 4th year and it keeps on getting better: a holiday of old traditions as cosy as a warm jumper with new ones introduced for size.
The visit to the Angel of the North was a new one last year - it's now set in stone, along with a stop-off at the English border.
The moon was amazing as we drove into Filey, as big as I've ever seen it and illuminated by flashes of dry lightening. When we arrived the sea was as still as a lake and all the stresses of the last few months melted away.
The boys also enjoyed their first visit to an Indian restaurant. I've cooked curries for them, but this was quite different. They loved the whole experience, the waiters loved them, spoiled them rotten, and another new tradition was created.
