Or if you prefer it, Burchardia umbellata (milkmaids) is a perennial herb native to woodlands and heath of eastern and southern Australia, known in all states except Western Australia. It typically flowers from September until November, in dry sclerophyll forests.

What a difference 24 hours makes!

Yesterday I was fairly convinced I wouldn't be able to walk for a week, but after a very good night's sleep, I am pottering around today with hardly any problems. I can bend my knee, and most of the after-affects of the anaesthetic has worn off.

So I went and got Mish - who gave me a wonderful welcome - did some shopping, and got up to date with some of my work.

Thanks so much for all your very kind comments on my blip yesterday and the day before. No operation is pleasant, but mine was easy compared to most.
