New Maize Mill

The picture shows a revolution in maize flour production. This is a local invention and Harisen tells me that it is about ten times faster than the traditional way.He writes of his day:

The women in our location pounding maize corb to have the corn seperated from the corb this is the best way of doing it they have just invented it. People were coming to see this. It's fast and easy.

The guys in Ekaiweni are doing fine on compost, their carrot has grown well, their maize is fantastic
They are using chicken manure.The trees they planted were attacked by some worms and insects and I bought them the pestcide (Sevin) We will ask the forestry if there is an organic method.

The dam in Sonda is finished and the vertiva grass has been planted. Tomorrow we are expecting visitors from Japanees International Cooperation Agencies(JICA), to see how we are doing our irrigation and planting
